Welcome to Inwood Forest Camp! My name is Sarah Manton-Hollis and I have been teaching Forest School and leading Forest Camps alongside my team of wonderful outdoor educators in the beautiful old woods of Inwood Hill Park since 2020, previously as an instructor for Second Nature Outdoors.
It is truly a special forest and a wonderful, gentle way to spend a week (or more!) as we sing, hike, climb, build, create art, tell stories, forage, dig, plant, identify, play games, navigate, rest, wade in the water, dance, build friendships and just take time to sit and listen. The camp is child-led and activities vary each day and are developed according to the children’s interests. We all sit together for a morning meeting/singalong, snack and lunch.

Meeting/ Pickup spot is next to the handball courts behind Emerson playground (207th and Seaman Ave in Inwood) OR the Flagpole in Inwood Hill park (enter from Seaman Ave and Isham Street) depending which age group. Nearest trains are 207th st A train or 207th st 1 train, Bx7 or Bx12 or BxM1 buses.
